Winnie the Pooh
What could be more magical than a writer creating a whole dynasty of stories about his little boy and his child’s stuffed animals? This is how Winnie the Pooh was created.
In the 1920’s, writer AA Milne, wrote about his son, Christopher Robin, and his furry stuffed animals, Winnie the Pooh, Tigger the Tiger, Piglet, Eeyore the donkey and Kanga and Roo.
Who could not love Pooh with his sincere desire to lose weight? But Pooh had a weakness for the fragrant smell of honey that was always beckoning him. Who could not relate to that? He was absolutely precious. He is every bear…or man.
Add to this mixture the hyper-active and wonderful bouncy Tigger who loves everyone and everything. He gives that sense of excitement to all that is happening. (We all have friends like that). Add Rabbit and Mr. Owl and you have the start of a legendary animation family. Winnie the Pooh was a successful book before it became part of the Disney family.
